Real Madrid for two years now has been using a new tactic for ensuring team’s future formation.
Their tactic is buying young players and sending them on loan.
Real Madrid currently has 13 players in loan : Achraf Hakimi, Martin Odeegard, Dani Ceballos, Sergio Reguilon, Alvaro Odriozola, Take Kubo, Oscar Rodriguez, Jesus Vallejo, Borja Mayoral, Andre Lunin, Luca Zidane, and Jorge de Frutos.
Madrid are planning to take the youngster Renier Jesus to a loan as well. The most serious candidates are Real Valadollid and Real Sociedad.
1. Achraf Hakimi
A.Hakimi – 21 years old, has joined Borussia Dortmund on 11st of July 2018 from Real Madrid, his contract with BVB ends on 30th of June 2020. Dortmund plans to buy him permanently but his outstanding performances made R.Madrid want him back. He moved from Castilla to first Madrid’s team in 2017/18 season but did not have a great performance which caused his move to Dortmund. He was 19 when he played his first season at Madrid and after gaining some experience at Bundesliga he is ready to conquer for the RB starting position with Dani Carvajal.
He has shown quality as a forward so often played as a LW also, showing his quality as a forward so this made Lucien Favre put him as a left mid three or four times.
Hakimi this season scored 9 goals and provided 10 asists in 44 appearances. Without a doubt he is the best right back in the german league, if not in top five european leagues.
He has less than a month left until his contract expires and he is not 100% certain for his next move. Borussia Dortmund wants to keep him, in the other hand Bayern Munchen made an offer to Real Madrid, but Real Madrid is determined to get Hakimi back.
Carvajal has had an extraordinary season and it will be tough for Hakimi to taken his place but with work and determination he could be irreplaceable for Zidane.
2. Martin Odegaard
Another successful loan of Real Madrid is the Norwegian, Martin Odegaard.
He is 21 years old and currently on loan to Real Sociedad. After RMA got him back from his loan to Vittese Arnhem they wanted to give him more space and send him on loan to R.Sociedad, since then he has been irreplaceable for his team. He did not give the performance Real Madrid wanted from his loan to Vitesse but he clearly showed his potential in this season at Real Sociedad, being so in the top 10 most valuable players of La Liga in this season.
His contract expires on 20th of July 2020 with an option for a further year.
Because the many world class midfielders Madrid has (like Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde & Isco) he will most likely use that option.
In his 30 matches with Sociedad he was able to score 7 goals and providing 8 assists, and helping his team achieve the Copa del Rey final. He was able to knock his team out of the Copa del Rey final scoring a goal and giving one asist with the result 3-4.
Odegaard was in doubt for playing versus Real Madrid on 21st of June, in La Liga division, due to an muscle injury but the officials reported that he is ready and has been called for the match.
3. Dani Ceballos
Dani Ceballos (23) is playing his first season at Arsenal. He started very well but after the injury he had he still has not got his rhythm. He is a talented player but did not give his best performance being able to score only 5 times in 32 appearances and most likely Los Blancos will want to sell him. With all the world class players they have in the midfield, plus the other talented players from academy (Reiner Jesus) and players from loan (Odegaard, Kubo, Oscar Rodriguez) he will not be able to secure a place in the starting line up.
4. Sergio Reguilon
Reguilon, the 21 year old has moved from Real Madrid to Sevilla FC on the 5th of July 2019 with a deal of one year loan, which it expires on the 20th of July 2020. But with the arrival of Ferland Mendy probable the best choice for Reguilon is to stay at Sevilla for a further year.
Lopetegui knows Sergio Reguilon since his time in madrid, when he put Reguilon before Marcelo. Since his arrival he has been a key player to Sevilla’s team so Sevilla would probably want him to stay. Before the match versus FC Barcelona which took place on the 19th of June, he declared that he’ll do his best to beat them for the sake of the team and Madrid’s. Los Blanco’s blood runs in his veins so he wouldn’t accept a permanently deal because he plans to go back at Madrid someday.
Marcelo’d be 33 years old after a year so it would be perfect for Regui to replace him and compete for the left back position with Ferland Mendy.
5. Alvaro Odriozola
A.Odriozola (24) struggled showing Lopetegui and Zidane his potential in his time in Madrid, so he preferred a move to Bayern Munchen with the hope he will get some experience but seems like he’s struggling there to.
Bayern does not count on him anymore, from all 15 appearances available he played only two of them even coming as a substitute. His loan ends on the 20th of July 2020 but with the arrival of Achraf Hakimi he wouldn’t have a place neither in the bench, so the best option for him is to look for a new team.
6. Take Kubo
The Japanese youngster is currently on a one year loan deal to RCD Mallorca, the deal expires on the 20th of July 2020 and his future is still uncertain. Mallorca is now at the danger zone but if they succeed to stay in La Liga for another season then there would be a possibility for Kubo to extend his loan contract for a further year. He has shown potential by his appearances but that could hardly be noted at a team like RCD Mallorca.
Takefusa Kubo before was a player of Barcelona’s academy than he transferred to FC Tokyo Youth to be continued with the transferred from FC Tokyo to Real Madrid as a free transfer.
7. Oscar Rodriguez
Another talented player of Real Madrid is the 21 year old Oscar Rodriguez who plays at CD Leganes ass a attacking midfielder. He was on a two year deal loan and his loan contract expires on the 20th of July 2020. He has been very successful at CD Leganes, being able to score 9 goals in 30 matches. He is the only player besides Leo Messi to score 4 goals from direct free kick this season. Although his future team in still undecided.
8. Jesus Vallejo
Jesus Vallejo has moved to Granada FC on the 25th of January 2020 until the 20th of July 2020 after a struggling time he had at Wolves.
But he is struggling at Granada as well. Madrid’d want to sell him permanently but we will see what happens.
He has played eight times for Granada FC and only two times for Wolves in the Premier League and five times for cups competitions.
9. Borja Mayoral
The 23 year centre forward, Borja Mayoral has been an irreplaceable player for Levante since his loan move from Real Madrid. He has played 26 matche from 30 available and score 6 goals.
His loan contract also expires on the 20th of July 2020. Madrid has three center forwards currently, Karim Benzema, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz.
Benzema is 32 years old, Luka Jovic is struggling to find his rhythm and Mariano isn’t such a Zidane’s favorite, so perhaps Mayoral’d find a place in the squad after one or two years.
10. Andriy Lunin
The Goalkeeper is playing at his 3rd loan in the last two years. Firstly he transferred from Madrid to Leganes, than to Valladolid and now is currently at Real Oviedo, a La Liga2 team.
He has played 11 out of 11 matches for Oviedo, conceding 12 goals and keeping 2 clean sheets.
His loan also expires on the 20th of July 2020, Alphonse Areola’s loan from PSG expires at the same day as well, so Lunin might have a chance to secure a position in Zidane’s squad.
11. Luca Zidane
The other goalkeeper on loan is Zinedine Zidane’s son, Luca Zidane. He’s currently playing for Racing Santander in La Liga2. He played 31 out of 31 matches, conceding 39 goals and keeping 7 clean sheets.
His market value for now is less than the other Real Madrid goalkeeper on loan, Andriy Lunin, €1.8mln besides Lunin who is valuated €2.7mln.
13. Jorge de Frutos
The last one is Jorge de Fruntos who plays for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga2. He plays as a right wing, scored only one goal in his 18 appearances.
His currently market value is €2.0mln, and Rayo Vallecano might be interested to sign him a permanently contract, the only problem is the player desire as he will not want to play in the second spanish division. /Resinfo/
